The Pack Committee for Pack 7039, Russellville Alabama met at the First United Methodist Church on August 23, 2007 beginning at 6:30 pm. Elliott Gordon, Wendy Morgan, Beth Pounders and Mitch Mays were in attendance. Elliott Gordon called the meeting to order. Elliott thanked everyone for their hard work on the annual Pack School Night. This year we had 16 new scouts register on school night and an additional 10 register the following week. That puts us at 26 for the requirement period, we still need an additional 4 new scouts to reach the goal of 30 that was given to the Council. Elliott reminded the committee of the upcoming events includeing the bowling trip, Fishing Derby, adult leader training and the campout in October. There was a discussion on the dates for the campout and it was decided to move the campout to October 20th due to Oct 13th being the weekend of Fall Break at school.

Beth Pounders reminded everyone that the Popcorn sell kick off was scheduled to Septeber 24th in Florence. She will pick up the information that day and we can begin selling the next week. The Pack Committee decided to ask that each scout sell at least 6 items this year. It was reminded to all that this is the only fund raiser that Pack 39 will do this year.
